Iceland was a snowy place up north. We stayed in Reykjavik which was the capital city of Iceland for a few days. We saw the aurora (northern lights) there!
After that we went to Snæfellsjökull, a volcano at the edge of iceland.
There we got a small cottage with a hot tub you could sit in and see the northern lights. After that we walked to the black church to eat dinner in a blizzard.
The next day we climbed up the local volcano to the top, it was lucky none of the volcanos erupted! The snow wasn’t that deep, but it was deep enough to build a snowman (seen on left). I had a lovely time.
Do you remember you went to sleep and you woke up and all the fireworks were going off? You put on dad’s coat and watched them on the verandah and it was REALLY cold. Those fireworks went on for ages, I think everyone in the area was doing it!

Amazing country, I really must post my photos. Sadly, no photos of the Northern Lights, so I guess I’ll have to go again!
